With each chapter in North Texas' development, scores of immigrant families have recognized the city's potential and have come to participate in its ever-growing prosperity. According to the US Census, between 2000 and 2006 the foreign-born population in Dallas County increased by 30.27%. Tarrant County saw a growth of nearly 44%, while the greatest increase in foreign-born population in 2008 and 2009 is expected in the northern counties of Denton and Collin.
