DFW International Community Alliance announces the DFW International Leadership Institute, with three sets of leadership seminars beginning on Nov. 9. While open to all, this program is especially designed to enhance the skills of New Americans and cultivate their leadership talents through training for more efficient and effective practices in the traditional American style of conducting business.

The nine seminars in the series are led by presidents of leading community organizations such as the India Association of North Texas and the Partnership Walk, by international business and communications professionals, by staff of Richland College and the Dallas Public Library, and by mayors and foreign-born elected officials from across the metroplex. They are offered on alternating Mondays in the DFW International conference room at 12830 Hillcrest (@ LBJ).

The program includes workshops on nonprofit management (how to create bylaws, keep minutes, set agendas, etc.), event planning, fundraising, communications, multicultural competencies, gaining access to civic leaders, and more. Each series of 3 classes costs $50, or $140 for the complete program and one can register
