DFW International Community Alliance is pleased to announce the 65 arts groups who will perform on 5 stages during 6th annual Fiesta Latinoamericana! on Sunday, Oct 7 in the Dallas Arts District. This free family celebration is presented by Lowe's and is the Metroplex' only Cultural Festival of the Americas and will run from 9 am till 7 pm along Flora Street from the Cathedral to the AT&T Center, 2403 Flora Street, Dallas, TX 75201. In addition to five performance areas with 12 hours of music and dance, Fiesta Latinoamericana! includes a new Principe and Princesita activity for children - with Shoboy de la Manana - in traditional dress, a Latino Cuisine Food Court with dishes from 8 countries, Dream Act information in the Attorney's Pavillion, a Passport game, Tortilleria and LatinoQuest games, plus numerous free interactive and hands-on activities for the entire family. Built around the motif of a ‘traditional plaza’ the Fiesta also features strolling musicians, indigenous dancers and drummers, and clowns and balloon vendors. The event closes with a Drum Circle with indigenous, Caribbean, Afro-Latino, and capoeira rhythms.
