DFW International Community Alliance announces the fifth annual Dinner with the Mayors with keynote speaker Anousheh Ansari on Thursday, April 19, 2012. The event will take place at the Fairmont Hotel located at 1717 North Akard Street at 6pm and more than 20 mayors are expected to be in attendance. The Dinner with the Mayors is open to the public and tickets are available for $100 from the webpage www.dfwinternational.org, or by calling 972-661-2764.

Plano entrepreneur Anousheh Ansari was born in Iran and is the co-founder / chairman of Prodea Systems. She formerly served as CEO of Telecom Technologies, Inc. and at the age of 35 she was named the "boldest newcomer" by Fortune magazine, which featured her in a list of America’s 40 most successful business figures under the age of 40. In 2006 she became the first astronaut of Iranian descent as part of the Soyuz TMA-9 trip to the International Space Station.

"DFW international's Dinner with the Mayors is an opportunity for the region's global leaders to interact with corporate and civic officials in celebration of the cultural diversity in the Dallas/Fort Worth area," says Anousheh Ansari. "As an Iranian-American entrepreneur I consider the Dinner to be a perfect moment to celebrate the New Americans who are contributing across the DFW metroplex in the areas of education, culture, health, and business.  The attendance of more than 20 mayors recognizes the importance of the 44% of our residents who are foreign-born and their children."
