Guest Chef Lineup announced for Fiesta Mart's Secrets of our Cuisines Workshop at Fiesta Latinoamericana!

DFW International Community Alliance and the Latino Culinary Institute are proud to announce the FiestaMart Secrets of our Cuisines Workshop at the 4th Annual Fiesta Latinoamericana!. The event takes place on Sunday October 10, 2010 from 11 till 7 at 2301 Flora Street in the Dallas Arts District, Dallas TX 75201, beween the Meyerson Symphony Center and the AT&T Performing Arts Center. The festival is sponsored by Wells Fargo, Fiesta Mart, State Farm, and others. Media partners are Univision, CBS 11, Al Dia, 1270 AM and 107.9.

The schedule for featured chefs is

12:00 pm - Lydia Gonzalez Welch of the Latino Culinary Institute prepares Pork Guiso in a Chile Guajillo Sauce (Mexico)

1:30 pm - Chef Victor Trujillo of Savor Mexico prepares Empanadas (Argentina)

3:30 pm - Chef Ozzy Samano of Nick & Sam's prepares Jicama Salad (Central America)

4:30 pm - Chef Hugo of San Miguel Cafe will prepare Arroz con Pollo (Peru)

Fiesta Latinoamericana! will also present
    • 30 performing arts groups from 15 countries
    • Dance Workshop with lessons in salsa, tango, merengue, etc
     Mariachis, salseros, folkloric dance, mimes and clowns
    • LatinoQuest juego sobre la cultura
    • Food booths representing 7 nations
    • Tortilleria game for children
     Parade of Nations
    • Afro Latino drum circle
